Maple Apple Crisp

This is another favorite DELICIOUS treat. It is SO easy, cheap, healthy and delicious! Because we eat it so much, and I give it away to neighbors, I make a big batch in a VERY big pan! It still only lasts a few days! I have been using a lot of beautiful apples that we picked off of some trees last month so it's very inexpensive to make this dish!
Here's the BIG batch recipe that I use:

Topping:
2 c. oats OR 6 grain rolled mix
2 c. sugar (Try it with less sugar! I do and I prefer honey)
2 c. freshly ground whole wheat
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp molasses
1 pinch of salt

10 apples, washed, quartered, thinly sliced and seeds removed.
Leave the skin on.
1/4 c. Homemade Maple Syrup

Time saver: I use my SLICER to quickly cut the apples into thin slices.
Drizzle the Maple Syrup on Apples
Mix the topping together, then dump all over the apples
Cook for 35 min. at 375 degrees

I love to heat this up then pour milk over it.

SO much easier than making a pie and much healthier.
